Gauteng eTolls Make No Sense

Guess what? - The biggest balls-up is about to begin. I personally don't know of anyone planning to pay these tolls.

Would you pay? The government is stealing money hand over fist (just follow the news on any day) and the president is having a R200+ million palace built.

Hopefully the South Africans will prove that they will not put up with this anymore. Just don't pay! Could you imagine the fiasco of this government trying to take a few million people to court to recoup e-toll fees? It is laughable.

ANC Twitter campaign backfires

The ANC and DA are always trying to one-up each other, and with election season coming up, they’re in as fierce a rivalry as ever.

The DA started the fun with these billboards declaring "E-tolls. Proudly brought to you by the ANC."

The ANC wasn’t too pleased and lodged a complaint with the Advertising Standards Authority and Independent Electoral Commission.

Then, in an effort to drum up a bit more good publicity, ANC spokesperson Jackson Mthembu started a Twitter campaign called #ProudlyBroughtByANC. 

But boy, did it backfire!

Twitter users responded accordingly, here are some of my favourites:

The start
